Sales: Business Development Manager
Description
Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager/Sales Associate will be responsible for new business opportunities throughout a variety of prospects to include Commercial Real Estate, K-12, Higher Education, Medical Office Buildings and Retail Centers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans, sales plans, and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives
- Prospect through innovative lead generation tools and leverage existing advanced and dedicated social media opportunities
- Establish relationships with potential clients to distinguish The Royal Group from the current provider and deliver tailored solutions professionally and effectively
- Execute marketing plans through cold calling, networking and leveraging internal and external referrals
- Monitor competitor sales and marketing activities
- Strategically coordinate schedule/travel to optimize client meetings throughout the territory
- Meet with key clients and maintain relationships in negotiating and closing deals
- Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all promotional materials and events
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate will at least have 3 years of outside sales experience in a B2B environment with a healthy network of relationships.
Other requirements:
- Strong bidding and estimating skills and abilities
- The ability to work in a team-oriented sales environment that allows for collaboration with the operations team in identifying and resolving issues and concerns
- A true hunter with the ability to leverage social media and professional networks (i.e. LinkedIn) to prospect and follow up with consistency. Attend professional networking and community events when appropriate
- Superior, world class interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skills
- Dedication to high quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships
- Proficient in web-based applications (i.e. Salesforce.com), and programs (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint), to effectively edit and create reports, database entries and presentation materials
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to strategically plan sales calls, sales presentations and cold calling
- Ability to travel throughout all areas of the territory
